Bright lights in your eyes
When you look up to the skies
The mystery of who are we
Comes as no surprise
But is this all for real?
Is there still time to kill?
The rabbits run as it blocks the sun
While the world is standing still

The black night chills you to the bone
The car swerves on an icy curve
As you're reaching for that phone
You see the red lights flashing
But all the facts are clashing
That thing up there with the glassy stare
Is not the town police

Another race from outer space
Listen in to everything we say
Their so amused to see us confused

The mothership is landing
where the monolith is standing
The thunder sound shakes the very ground
Like in tales from the ancient days
